Maui Luaus

There's no luau that is the clear winner to me on Maui, if you are a first timer, you can't go wrong going to any of the ones that are advertised. Such as the Old Lahaina Luau, that claims that they're a traditional Hawaiian luau. I used to work there for their sister company Aloha Mixed Plate, the grounds are awesome and they do provide a great experience for the visitor, and I think it is one of the finest shows.

There's other luaus that are worth seeing and again, you can't go wrong going to, the Hyatt Regency's Drums of the Pacific is a long running production, the Royal Lahaina Luau at the Royal Lahaina is pretty good too, all are close to the ocean. On the south side, Wailea Marriott's Luau is spectacular as well and right next to the ocean.  These are the luaus I'm familiar with. Unfortunately I don't have any photos, all those are online and are all copyrighted material.

But here are some of the phone numbers.

If you do have any health issues, make sure you take your medication with you, or if you need wheelchair assistance to let the reservationist know before hand so they can accomodate you. All the luaus here listed, are well run and managed, the entertainers are high quality entertainers, so you can't go wrong going to any of these. In the evenings, it may get chilly for some elderly people, bring a light sweater or long sleeves with you. If you do drive, do not consume alcoholic beverages, be safe on the  road. Call a taxi cab if need, there's a lot of cabs on the island waiting to serve you.

  1. This Hawaii Luau starts right after the incredible sunset, make sure you bring your camera because this was the most beautiful Hawaiian sunset of our trip! We went up in groups to have a look at the traditional Hawaiian Luau Feast.it's up there with the best of Maui restaurants, there was everything you could imagine from fish, to pork, to fresh Hawaiian fruits and veggies! We stacked up our plates with a little of everything and sat down at our table for the start of the luau dancing events.
