Maui- Ahi Is the Prime Rib of Local Fish

AHI The Prime Rib of Local Fish- If you haven't been to Maui before, well WTF are you waiting for? You can't be holed up at home forever, can you? Well maybe you can. But check the flights, Cheap Tickets . Com, Travelocity whatever, make arrangements pronto!

If you are a foodie like most people, and you love fish, then look to no other place, come to Maui and have yourselves a foodie of a time. Ahi is a yellow fin tuna, the meat is sweet, grade A for sushi and sashimi.. man, can't get better than that. Also cooked Ahi steaks, cooked medium rare and it's like having Kobe Beef of the sea, honestly.

So where would I suggest you get your Ahi fix if you're on Maui?

Check out my friend Mark Ellman's Mala Ocean Tavern in Lahaina and Wailea.

My favorite in Lahaina is the Ahi Burger mixed to perfection.

If in Paia on the North shore, the Paia Fish Market has great Ahi sandwiches and salads.

If in Kihei, stop by Eskimo Candy, Jeff and Victoria the owners are cool peeps, and their Ahi sandwiches are killer too, get it sauteed and on some local greens, hey as we say on Maui, "broke da mouth!"
