LAHAINA TOWN GRINES SUGAR CANE MAUI

Just got back from Lahaina Town, the food places are not what it used to be, there's some good places, but we do need some really good food besides the same old stuff. Sure there's the Hard Rock Cafe on the north end, then Bubba Gumps, then Longhi's across the street as you head south. The Yacht Club, Kimo's, Koa's, Lahaina Fish Co. then Cheese Burger In Paradise.. Head further south and there's a few more places like Sugar Cane Maui A Lahaina Cafe and Eat Bar, owned by Chef Phillippe Chin. Stay tuned because I just emailed chef to interview him and video blog his eatery, possibly showcasing his cooking skills. Thanks to Roger at the door for being so kind in making me feel welcomed there. It's in the old Famous Dave's BBQ upstairs, and Roger told me that Famous Dave's left their old smoker behind when they left town and Chef Chin now makes his own smoked bacon, really that should be very very nice.

So that's the latest buzz on the buzz line, hopefully the county will be more business friendly, and landlords not too greedy so we can have businesses stay in operation for crying out loud! It's like c'mon people, less greed is better for everyone. I can't wait to meet Chef Chin, I hear he's a good guy, giving an employee the spotlight to shine as an entertainer on his stage for evening entertainment..wow, what a guy, that's the kind of business people Maui respects. Okay so stay tuned, and we'll have Chef Chin's video up soon I hope, and Hattie Kalani Kings pictures needs to be approved before I post it on this blog.
