Aloha from Lahaina, Maui my foodies, and it's been a while. I said I was going to be gone for months, but today I got a chance to do a local style blog with a local foodie named, Kaipo Da Foodie.
Kaipo is a local cat, hard working and loves to eat some serious local style food. I asked this cat what did he eat in the past week, and this is what he ate.
Kaipo holding a bottle of Wesson Oil, and Aloha Shoyu
1. At his house he remembers eating some pork & peas with hot dogs. Locals eat simple, and I myself love to eat this. It's simple, and onolicious.
2. Then he had a hamburger steak plate, complete with 2 scoops of rice, mac salad, and lots of gravy. A true local foodie.
3. Adding to the list of local favorites, he went to a local convenience store to whack a plate of chicken katsu with 2 scoops of rice, and mac salad. Feeling hungry now folks?
4. Then he trekked to L&L Drive-Inn to nail a chicken katsu curry plate, again with 2 scoops of rice, and mac salad, with lots of that curry smothered all over his plate.
5. Feeling like a need for pizza, he bought himself a frozen Safeway Supreme Pizza, stuck it in the oven, and ate that! And of course playing some serious Xbox!
6. Feeling like a chef, he decided to cook some mushrooms wrapped with bacon, and some asparagus. This guy's a foodie for sure!
7. Then he tells me his grandma made him some salmon, said she battered the salmon with mayonnaise and some breadcrumbs, and fried it up in the pan. If it works it works.
8. Get this, he went to Casa Maya's a local Mexican joint, and got himself a 1 pound chicken burrito! This kid does not fool around on food!
9. To Teddy's Bigger Burgers where he said he woofed down a Teddy's Bigger Burger meal, a 9 oz. burger with special sauce, lettuce, onions, and tomato, side of fries and a Coke. Man he can eat!
10. Taco Bell called his name, he answered and mopped up their Fritto Steak Burrito with a Coke! Nuts man, nuts!
So this is Kaipo's foodie wisdom folks. "Try eat healthy, don't eat like me. And stay away from GMO foods." Great Kaipo Da Foodie, we'll remember that one for sure.
