Maui Vegas & Food Fremont Hotel & Casino

The Fremont Hotel & Casino is still the most popular spot for Mauians going to Vegas, famous for their Seafood Buffet. www.fremontcasino.com for more information, but if you ask any local that visits Vegas like every 3 months he or she can tell you what time they're opened, and who is on staff, and what they drive, and where they live. The Fremont Hotel and Casino owned and operated by Boyd Gaming isn't the posh strip model, it's an older hotel with better deals. So what's the thing about Vegas that Mauians still have to go there?

Rodney: Bradda, living on one island surrounded by paradise, once in a while taking the wife to Sin City and gambling and having a cheap good time is O rite bradda. And as far as da food? We like to go to da Fremont Seafood Buffet, king crab legs, da carving station, cannot beat. I been in fine dining most of my life in Oahu and in Vegas too, I been around, traveled the world cuz, don't let my local boy looks fool you, I know food, and met some very awesome chefs. But for a good fun time, and good food for da price? Fremont's Seafood night is killahz. Sometimes we'll have a golf outing, and go grine seafood aftahz, no can beat, no can!

Aunty Lei: Bradda, az all about Vegas, me an my husband will go 3 times a year, visit one of my elderly sisters that lives in Vegas, and stay with her, but we always go play slots, or shoot craps for fun, and when we do we go to the Fremont for eat the Seafood Buffet, and I love me some king crab legs. Da best brah.

Paul: Cuz, I wen juss turn 21, and been Vegas twice last year cuz, da place is good fun, to da max! And my cousins who are older turned me on to da Fremont's Seafood Buffet, and man, I just don't stop eating man, killaz cuz!

Bunny: My girlfriends and I go to Vegas five times a year, we go to New York once a year, on our way back from da Big Apple, we stay at the Fremont and love their Seafood Buffet, I love the king crab legs, like everyone there. But the thing about Vegas is it's still cheap, it really is, I do a lot of traveling for business and I am single so I kind of know foods, I am a foodie. But Vegas has so much good food everywhere it's great, but Fremont's Seafood Buffet is just right, and I love desserts, and they have it there too. My friends make fun of me, "How come you go Vegas? go someplace else." Well Vegas is Hawaiian's second home, I feel at home there, I am thinking of buying a home, sort of skeptical because of the economy, but I found a nice house for less than 100,000 bucks, I can actually buy it, but what if I can't get work? Just a thought, but I know that town inside out, I also was thinking of possibly opening up a eatery there, I love to cook too, I went to culinary school on the mainland, and have a business major. Vegas will turn around, it's just when do we roll the dice right?

Tommy: Me and da boyz we dig out cuz, on a four day jaunt and we stay at da Cal, but we eat at da Fremont for da seafoods cuz, no can beat! Imagine 8 freeking big ass Hawaiians standing in line at da buffet, dey muss be telling each udda, shit, catch some moah crabz.

Well that's saying it like a local from the islands, Vegas will always make money off the locals here, the house always rule, you still have to pay the house at least their 20 percent vig, and it seems ridiculous that you have to bet 100 bucks and only win 80 bucks. But the devil is luring you into his world and deceiving you ha ha. Nonetheless Vegas is still a rocking town despite them being the number one city in real estate foreclosures and high unemployment, but Vegas still has that charm islanders love, I think it's the lights at night, the scantly clad waitresses, golfing, shows, the Hoover Dam, and other fun stuff, but who wants to vacation in the Bahamas if they're from Hawaii? That's why the desert is appealing.

THE PARADISE SEAFOOD FANTASY NIGHTS

Tuesdays & Fridays 4pm to 10pm $17.99 per person. Can't beat that!
